PEAK’S PEOPLE, PLACES AND EVENTS

There are few professions or jobs where you can genuinely say that you are “shaping a community”.

Or that your work is impacting the physical space within a town.

STARK Architecture + Interior Design based here in Squamish can say all of that and more.

This team is rooted in Squamish and passionate about everything the Sea to Sky Corridor has to offer us.

Some of their projects in Whistler are absolutely breathtaking.

Falcon Crescent | Whistler project is truly stunning. So is the incredibly unique Drifter Way Residence.

And I can not wait to see how the Passive House Forest Retreat in Pemberton looks when it’s complete.

They have commercial and residential projects here in Squamish (of course).

Some of you have probably eaten at Taka Ramen & Sushi on Cleveland Ave. (one of my favourite spots in town)

I can almost guarantee that some of you take your furry friends to see Fraser and his team at Sea to Sky Vet

But their love for the mountains and the great outdoors isn’t just shown through their work here in the Sea to Sky corridor.

With projects throughout the interior of BC, all the way to Tofino and even Ontario as well. STARK is making a beautiful impact on all the communities where their projects are built.

David Arnnot is the Founder and strategist of this firm. He believes in building a company on a foundation of balance. The balance between creativity and active like-minded individuals.

He is also a huge fan of our French Sandwich… seriously. He LOVES it.

And I have to mention this (because I’m so proud of him)... he was awarded the 2022 Business Person of the Year by the Squamish Chamber last December.

And on top of all these accolades and accomplishments, there is one more thing I have to mention… the entire team is fun as hell.

It’s not uncommon to see the whole office in here for happy hour. (and I absolutely love when this happens)

When their office runs out of coffee… we’ve got them covered.

Even if the whole crew from STARK isn’t in here for happy hour, there is always someone at the bar representing.

We have even sent happy hour to them. Actually though… right to their office.

Truffle popcorn, a bucket of beer and a bucket of wine.

I mean, if ya can’t make it to the bar why not have it come to you?

Who doesn't want Happy Hour sent to them?

Actually… would you want that?

I would obviously rather see you in person, here at the store.

But on those occasions when work gets in the way of fun and you still want some fun… would you order happy hour to be delivered for your team?

>>>Click this link and tell me

If enough of you want this to happen, I’ll figure out a way to make it work.

Look at that. My amazing neighbours at STARK Architecture could literally be paving the way for more community impact.

Well… they are definitely setting a great example of how to have fun AND work hard.

PROVISIONS WE LOVE

We are in the thick of it. SUMMER.

I love it. The heat. The late nights. The endless outdoor adventures.

Hiking, biking, golfing, climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, pickle balling… all the ing’s.

Ya know what goes well with all the ing’s? Or even very shortly after par-take-ing…

A delicious Aperitif.

You could even refer to these as hiking or activity “accompaniments”.

We’ve got two amazing travellers that are meant to be packed for your next adventure.

First - the Endless Summer Rosé. I mean come on. It’s in the name.

Birch Block Vineyard in the Okanagan knew what they were doing when they created this gem.

These canned vinos are so delicious and easy to pack. Depending on where you’re headed you don’t even need a cooler.

Just pop them in the river or in one of the glacial lakes you’ll be visiting and they’ll be icy in no time.

Second - Individually made Aperol Spritz.

Are you kiddin me? Am I in Italy right now or just dreaming?

Nope… I’m here and I’m in heaven with these new additions to our shelves.

I don’t have to go on about how much I love this tasty Aperitif. I already did in another Newsletter.

But I will say, the Italians know a thing or two about the good life.

Ya know, Ferrari… Gucci… and drinking Aperol Spritz while not working for the entire summer.

So next time you are planning a hike, adventure or any type of ing… come in and grab your supplies. Get your sandwiches, trail mix, chocolates and most importantly, one (or both) of these delicious Aparitif travellers.

La vita dolce.

AT THE BAR

Squamish may not be a port town… but I can say with certainty that Happy Hour is very much appreciated by the locals.

Whether the US Navy did in fact start “Happy Hour” all those years ago (or not) is still TBC.

Either way, I’m super Happy it’s here now.

And I’m pretty sure that’s where the term “drunk as a sailor” came from.

When I think of happy hour, I see the small seaside towns in the South of France and North of Spain. (the Basque area - man that place is stunning)

Tapas and rocks glasses of wine or aperitifs. It’s affordable, it’s delightful and the restaurants are always packed.

We may not be a “European seaside” town… but we sure do have an impressive backyard.

I want you to feel welcomed and relaxed. Whether you’ve had a tough day at work or a tough day at play. When you come to Peak Provisions for Happy Hour, it’s going to make everything better.

With house white, red and rosé wines for $5 bucks. Beer or a whiskey for $6 bucks… your selection of drinks is affordable and thirst-quenching.

We’ve got Truffle popcorn for $5 bucks, the infamous Peak Wagyu dog for $6 bucks, and even a Burrata dish for $12 bucks.

And you can come in to enjoy these delicious deals 7 days a week from 3 - 5pm.

I can’t promise any bell ringings or “Ahoy matey’s”. But there will be belly laughing and good company. So come join us for Happy Hour and fill your boots with our tasty treats.

In the meantime, don’t be a stranger.

Come in and hang out with us at the bar soon.

We’ll be here waiting for you.
